Introducing a new series of fully integrated electric axles from Allison Transmission. Allison’s eGen Power® series is designed to fit between the wheels of medium and heavy-duty trucks and buses, replacing the vehicle’s traditional powertrain.


eGen Power is a bolt-in solution compatible and easily customizable to your current vehicle frame, suspension and wheel ends, and is well suited to most OEM vehicle assembly processes. The eGen Power series features fully integrated electric motors, a multi-speed gearbox, an oil cooler and a pump, providing industry-high performance and efficiency. The system is compatible with full battery electric vehicles (BEV) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV) as well as range extending hybrid applications.

As the most compact form in its class, our fully integrated system allows more room for battery packs and other critical EV components, giving your fleet more range and better maneuverability.

Our innovative regenerative braking system and gear layout allows for maximum efficiency and 100% regeneration torque capability, reducing brake wear and extending the vehicle’s range.

With standard panhard mounting and suspension locations, eGen Power is a bolt-in solution for existing truck and chassis designs while still allowing flexibility for customization. This frees up space between frame rails where a drivetrain would typically be located and allows batteries to be installed in-board which improves impact protection and vehicle dynamics.

Our integrated electric motors, oil cooler and electric on-demand pump are easier and less expensive to install. The e-Axle housing offers reduced pipe runs and less flex between sprung and unsprung components, giving you simpler packaging and better durability.

Experience equal or better performance with a smaller, lighter and less expensive motor. eGen Power’s multi-speed gear box provides better gradeability at lower speeds while maintaining top speed and efficiency.

Our parallel-axis gear scheme orients the motors parallel to the axle shaft for maximum efficiency, and with minimal gear meshing and forced lubrication, eGen Power has 100% regenerative torque capability for extended range and durability for long axle life.
